미남이시네요

My newest obsession is this Korean drama called You're Beautiful.  It is about the behind-the-scenes look at an idol boy band.
The newest member, Go Mi Nam, is actually a girl pretending to be her twin brother while he's away in America getting his eye surgery fixed.  So that his absence does not cause a scandal for him, she secretly portrays him whilst picking up his quest to find their long-lost mother who abandoned them in an orphanage so many years ago.  How long can she keep her secret hidden?  What will happen to her relationships with the band members, the fans, and herself?
Well, I don't actually know yet, but I'm super excited to find out.  Here's a clip of it, and though it is in Korean, the acting is so over-the-top that you'll be able to follow along like the best telenovelas around!

This happens to be the part that I stumbled upon while flipping through the channels a few weeks ago...

Music Monday: Epik Comback

Added bonus to album purchasers, that symbol on the bottom right is an ACTUAL guitar pick with 99 density. By the time I started listening to Korean music, they were already on an extended hiatus. Their latest album has proven that good things come to those who wait. It wins the award for album of the year in my opinion (BIG BANG's Alive and Still Alive were EPs and special editions respectively). I don't know if there was a blue moon when they were recording, because every song on the album is perfection. I love the way they rap over different genres. Sometimes alternative rock, sometimes electronic, sometimes pop, sometimes R&B, etc. It's a great combination and reintroduces the genre in a different way. Even if you're not into rap (or listening to a song you may not u...

Why I will never drive in Korea: Reason #32

I honestly don't know how this happened, but I'm really not that surprised. My theory is the first car was stopped, and the second car slowly continued to push forward? Look at that angle! I would not want to get out of that car. AWKWARD. More pics after the jump!
