New Music Thursday!

Soooo, I totally didn't realize my blog hadn't been updated since April. Whoops! Bad Chine! Anyway, here's what's hot in K-pop right now (for me anyway).  I've been karaokeing these tunes up for the last month or so.  Enjoy!

Wonder Girls: 2 Different Tears
I've been listening to the Korean version because I'm a badass, but I've included the English version for all you non-badasses.

Superjunior: 미인아 (Bonamana)
The cute boys from Superjunior are back with this high-energy electro-pop hit.  Lyrical melody kind of reminds me of Sorry Sorry, but I'm not complaining.  The dancing is great, as always. The shadow business kind of creeps me out though.  I've included Sorry Sorry or reminiscence sake.

Lee Hyori: Swing
Finally, though it's not her title track, we have Hyori's Swing.  It's different from most of her songs (definitely different from Chitty Chitty Bang Bang).  I just can't bring myself to post that video here since it's all the kiddies sing... all. the. time.

That's all for now.  I must admit, I've been out of the K-pop scene for a while, so I may be missing some great stuff.  Rest assured, I shall find it and post it in a grossly untimely manner.

Music Monday: Epik Comback

Added bonus to album purchasers, that symbol on the bottom right is an ACTUAL guitar pick with 99 density. Genius, though I think I could only use it with my bass... which I never pick... it's still genius! Epik High's name has always been around, but I never listened to their songs. By the time I started listening to Korean music, they were already on an extended hiatus. Their latest album has proven that good things come to those who wait. It wins the award for album of the year in my opinion (BIG BANG's Alive and Still Alive were EPs and special editions respectively). I don't know if there was a blue moon when they were recording, because every song on the album is perfection. I love the way they rap over different genres. Sometimes alternative rock, sometimes electronic, sometimes pop, sometimes R&B, etc. It's a great combination and reintroduces the genre in a different way. Even if you're not into rap (or listening to a song you may not u...

Why I will never drive in Korea: Reason #32

I honestly don't know how this happened, but I'm really not that surprised. My theory is the first car was stopped, and the second car slowly continued to push forward? Look at that angle! I would not want to get out of that car. AWKWARD. More pics after the jump!

Throwback Thursday: We're Going to the Puzzle Place!

A little late this week, but it's worth it. I looooooved this show as a kid. Thank you PBS. If you're still around after this election, please continue making shows like this.
