Vlog 11: 1st Daejeon Rock Festival



A couple months back Daejeon hosted its first ever rock festival (details here if you're really interested).  Though the concert itself was prematurely shut down by police due to various noise complaints (apparently we expats know how to throw down), I was able to get a few pics and video in before that.

My pictures mostly capture the off-site activities happening close to Expo Park, but I managed to get video of some band being awesome.

Music Monday: Epik Comback

Added bonus to album purchasers, that symbol on the bottom right is an ACTUAL guitar pick with 99 density. Genius, though I think I could only use it with my bass... which I never pick... it's still genius! Epik High's name has always been around, but I never listened to their songs. By the time I started listening to Korean music, they were already on an extended hiatus. Their latest album has proven that good things come to those who wait. It wins the award for album of the year in my opinion (BIG BANG's Alive and Still Alive were EPs and special editions respectively). I don't know if there was a blue moon when they were recording, because every song on the album is perfection. I love the way they rap over different genres. I honestly don't know how this happened, but I'm really not that surprised. My theory is the first car was stopped, and the second car slowly continued to push forward? Look at that angle! I would not want to get out of that car. AWKWARD. More pics after the jump!
