대한민국, 안녕하세요!

Hey guys!  I made it here alive!  The flight was about 14 hours.  Very smooth and only a small patch of turbulence.  I watched 17 Again, Star Wars, I Love You Man, and this Korean movie My Girlfriend is An Agent.  I also read about Korean etiquette (thanks Sam!) so that when I landed I didn't offend too many people.

Getting through both airports was surprisingly easy.  When I finally landed in Korea, a few people stopped to help me out when they saw the confused look on my face, so that was nice. . . still haven't seen my first Hello Kitty sighting yet, but I'll keep my hope up for tomorrow.  My eyes were tired today.

My director's brother (and manager of my school), picked me up from a bus stop in Daejeon (2 hours south of Seoul).  She showed me the school which looks very cute and informed me that I will be teaching 4 year olds (adorable).  Pictures to come... right now, I'm too exhausted to do anything else but crash on my bed.

Very good movies choices (Well, I have no idea about IYL,M, but 17 Again, or as your son would say, Efron-candy!!! and for some reason I cannot explain I am totes in love with Star Trek. If they do more that good I will be part of the new generation of trekkies lfkjgldfkjg tell me you saw that coming, because I didn't!)

Ahhh, 4 year olds! How adorable--I fully expect a pic of you covered in happy smiling children!! Hopefully they are well-behaved or you might go crazy!

  4. 17 Again is the best. I watched it the second time with a girl who went to the high school they filmed it at (near LA) and her know-it-all remarks during the entire thing still could not ruin the magic.

Music Monday: Epik Comback

Added bonus to album purchasers, that symbol on the bottom right is an ACTUAL guitar pick with 99 density. Genius, though I think I could only use it with my bass... which I never pick... it's still genius! Epik High's name has always been around, but I never listened to their songs. By the time I started listening to Korean music, they were already on an extended hiatus. Their latest album has proven that good things come to those who wait. It wins the award for album of the year in my opinion (BIG BANG's Alive and Still Alive were EPs and special editions respectively). I don't know if there was a blue moon when they were recording, because every song on the album is perfection. I love the way they rap over different genres. Sometimes alternative rock, sometimes electronic, sometimes pop, sometimes R&B, etc. It's a great combination and reintroduces the genre in a different way. Even if you're not into rap (or listening to a song you may not u...

Why I will never drive in Korea: Reason #32

I honestly don't know how this happened, but I'm really not that surprised. My theory is the first car was stopped, and the second car slowly continued to push forward? Look at that angle! I would not want to get out of that car. AWKWARD. More pics after the jump!
